Extubation was successful . . . she is disoriented, hoarse, but recognizes us and laughed at mommy today. She hasn't spoken yet. She is still coming out of the sedation from the Pentobarbital [a very, very powerful sedative]. Full update tonight.Thank You Jesus. Thank You for that laugh, for the ongoing healing, for Your love in painful circumstances. Thank You for Your children who are linking arms in faith, continuing to believe for Aubrey.
Here's a song that spoke to Andy the other night before he went to sleep. Thanks to the commenter who sent it along.
Amen.

ReplyDeleteI went to college with Lauren and saw this blog through her Facebook status updates. I had my first son almost 4 months ago and cannot imagine what you all are going through right now. I am praying for you all and have asked my friends/family to do the same! Praise God for all of the wonderful things that have been happening today!! Stay strong - there are many believers praying you on, day by day!
ReplyDeleteWe don't know the family, but we are praying in Seattle, WA. Thank God for the good news!

ReplyDelete"I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and let your heart take courage; yes, wait for the Lord." -Psalm 27:13-14
Wow!
ReplyDeleteYou are so very welcome! I had no idea that song would speak so much to you. I stayed up very late one night and poured through some worship songs - pleading for healing for little Aubrey - in tears for this sweet thing I've never met.
This song reminded me that He's here & He has a (mysterious) purpose. We are His & what an awesome God we have to be gracing all of us with the gift of Aubrey!
One day of life is a miracle.
I'm praying for a glorious 35,000+ more days for her!

Praise the Lord! He is hearing the cries of his children! My prayers are with you and your family.
ReplyDeleteDon't ignore the small things in life, like laughter, a smile, some times they are things that count the most . God bless little Aubrey.
